End of semester!

Sound...

...of silence! Yesterday we had a workshop at school with our amazing teacher Rebeca Neuman. When the tecnique started working we had a really great time, and I think we all amased ourselfs with 3 very diffrent sound pieces!! But today, as the heading says, I will enjoy the sound of silence as much as I can =) !!

AWESOME!!

This is the best documentary I have seen in a LONG time! And not only did we get to see the movie, we also spent the whole day with Michel Wenzer who made the movie, we got to ask questions and discuss it with him! I must say it´s been a very emotional day! In a positive way I must ad. Thank you dear school of art, this was a real treat!!

Busy busy BUSY times!

We are working now on the last couple of projects for the semester, audio and animation.Today I finally understood the computer programs for editing sound and animation, wich means I might even be ready in time with both my sound piece AND the short story we are working on as a group project!Wish me luck though... Included in the work load( but not in the school-time )was the yearly Christmas fair, wich has taken a lot of energy time away from for example my blog! But soon it will be hollidays for us, and then I shall take the time to up date you all of the work I have done! Take care,Wictoria

Clay tower.

´This week is Photoshop week and I think that I finally learned a little bit of what we should have learned =)!
This tower I made many weeks ago, and it was so much fun!! I really want to more of that fantasy stuff with clay!! Maybe I will by some and play around with at Christmas break?!

Painting with oil...part 3

At the end of the week I realised I still hadn´t done my self portait...and so I went back to my station and played around a bit with coulors.... This is now a piece I will use in my up comming exibition!!

Of course I still had to make that selfportrait but since I don´t like the image of me, I chickened out by making it abstract.... But I promised my self that every year I will do a new self portrait, so who knows?? Someday it might even look like me?!!

And this is the third one, and what can I say? This is darn good actually, and I am very proud of what I can accomplish when doing something so very far out of my comfort zone!!

Well, now it started to be fun =) , only problem , teacher didn´t see any trees near by, so technically this is not a still life.... hahahahaha!

Lady Bug!!

 Isn´t this the most beautiful Lady Bug ever?!! Art-wise I didn´t have anything to do with this piece, other than I carried her under my heart for 40 weeks hahaha!

Playing ...

 ...with charcoal and watercoulor!!

Little goes BIG!

 One assignment we got was to take a little picture or object and make very much bigger, with charcoal or atleast in black/white/grey.
I had a picture of my mum, in a rather big frame witch I thought would be perfect, it would cover much of the surface very easily..hahah. I had never made a portraite before, so I am not ashamed of being a bit lazy, and letting most of the picture be the frame! It might be difficult for you to see how big it is, but the paper I drew on is 1.20 m times 1m so it is quite big.

I am very happy with how it turned out, even though there is something around the mouth that makes it ever so slightly in correct, but I can´t fix it. Not now anyway, maybe I´ll fix it later, or not...

Sorry!

I´m sorry for the poor updating lately, but as you can understand it full steam ahead at the school!! Will make some effort tonight , hang in there hihi!!

More clay!

 This is the ready sculpture that I made! I am very satisfied with how it turned out, being the first time ever. Later this semester we will burn our figures,and then we will see if I did a good job...

This is the before picture sort of speaking...

Here are some of our figures together! So cool to se them all, the differences,and the things that is alike. We had alot of fun in this class, everybody was so in to it, and you could almost  touch the energy of the creativity in the room!! To bad nobody was filming it.

Clay!

Clay!! What a wonderful materia to dig your hands into. I think I´ve tried somtime long ago to make a bowl or something, but this was completely different! For me it was so much fun , both doing the modelling of a live model, and the more free exercises, that we did. First we were warming up with trying to find a line and "sculpture" a model in only one minute...You have a result of that in the picture above hihi..!!

Mother nature.

On the first day of school we went to Fårö. There, among the magic of the sea and "raukar" was Mother Natures very own "sonar picture"! Beautiful don´t you think?!!

The beginning!

Our very first assignment had the theme " Entrence". It was really hard for me to think of what to do. But everywhere I looked was the fire escape guy running throuhg doors, and it struck me that an exit also is an entrence! And I could also associate with the running, I feel I have been running all my life, in many diffrent coulors and  some times in the wrong direction, into the darkness even. But as it happened. all this running led me to this place, Art School, and as you can see in the last frame, I am here, now, not running at all any more!!

Back to school!

Autumn break is over and tomorrow I continue my journey into the world of art, and through life. The ferry ride from Oskarshamn to Visby takes 3 hours more or less, but it felt like five minutes due to the amazing company! My daughter hooked up with two girls within 2 minutes and off they went playing so I started talking to the parents, and before we knew it we had arrived in Visby. So cool to meet people like that and it feels like you have been friends for ages!
Well it is off to bed now. Natti natti

Autumn break!

This week I am back with my family in Skåne having a great time, and gathering some new inspiration for the rest of the semester! Yesterday we went for a walk on the beach and I think I got a pretty good picture ?! What do you think??

My own inner voice!

Last year I decided it was time for me to listen to my own inner voice,and to follow my heart, my desires. This led me to Gotland school of Art wich ment moving with my five year old daughter to a little Island of the eastcoast of Sweden. Here I am exploring my self and all different kinds of artforms, from drawing to wood work, metal work painting and all that is in between!
Apart from giving birth, this is the best I have ever done!! So far... =)
